The idea to create an installation 'in situ' around the Arc de Triomphe had been in Christo's head for over 60 years. He never stoped projecting his idea by creating patchworks and models but it is only a year after his death that the piece will finally see the light of day. The instructions lefts by Christo and Jeanne Claude will be followed precisely and it is 25 000 sqm of material that will be deployed all over the Arch de Triomphe. Even if it is far from the 100 000 sqm needed for the Reichtag, we can guarantee you that it will be quite the sight not to be missed.
Parisians remember well in 1985, when Christo and Jeanne Claude managed to wrap the Pont Neuf. This monumental piece nearly never saw the light of day and it is now engraved in the memory of the ones lucky enough to witness it. Don't miss the chance to this the result of his first and last out of the ordinary project, from the 18th of September until the 3rd of October only!
